Job Description:

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician role at the Northlake, TX. location provides support to the Maintenance team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Inspect, repair and perform overhaul on mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, motor control center devices, transport conveyor systems and rotating, cutting, & grinding equipment.
• Operates and/or oversees the operation of packaging machines and processing systems.
• Completes production line change overs based on packaging requirements.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and other precision instruments to determine working clearances on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers, electro-mechanical drives and sub-electrical panels utilizing volt and amp meters.
• Perform typical building maintenance repairs through assigned work orders.
• Perform machine shop duties such as general metal fabrication, welding and machining.
• Requisition shop supplies and equipment such as replacement parts, hardware, lubricants, tools, testing instruments and gauges.
• Comply with Safe Quality Food 2000 Code (SQF 2000 Code). LOTO, and safety standards.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st shift, which operates from 7:00am to 07:30pm 2 - 2 -3 rotating shifts.

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
• Experience in a manufacturing environment - food manufacturing a plus
• The ability to work overtime and weekends
